DMCA Policy – DirectStore UK

DirectStore UK is committed to complying with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respecting the intellectual property rights of others. In accordance with the DMCA, we have implemented the following policy for handling copyright infringement claims.

We reserve the right to:

  • Block access to, or remove, content that we believe infringes upon a valid copyright.
  • Remove or disable any content submitted by users, affiliates, advertisers, or content providers found to be in violation.
  • Suspend or terminate the accounts of repeat copyright infringers at our discretion.

Use of DirectStore UK services is subject to our Terms of Service, which incorporate this Copyright Dispute Policy. Any undefined terms within this policy carry the meanings assigned in the Terms of Service.

How to Report Copyright Infringement

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on our platform without authorization, you may file a formal DMCA notice. Your notification must include the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
  2. A clear identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
  3. A detailed description of the allegedly infringing material, including enough information to help us locate it on our platform;
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  5. Your contact information, including name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address (if available);
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

What Happens After We Receive a Valid DMCA Notice

Once we receive a valid notification, DirectStore UK may:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material;
  • Notify the individual or entity responsible for the content that it has been removed or disabled;
  • In the case of repeat violations, terminate the responsible party’s access to our services.

How to Submit a Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, or that you have the right to use the material, you may file a counter-notice with us. It must include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the content provider;
  2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and its location prior to removal;
  3. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification;
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address (if available);
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court in your area, or if located outside the UK, to the jurisdiction of a UK court where DirectStore UK operates, and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may notify the original complainant and, unless they file legal action within 10 business days, the removed content may be reinstated.
